Wide-Bottom Mug in Nuka-Type Glaze with Iron Designs

Handmade white mug with nuka glaze and iron oxide accents. This stoneware mug is wheel thrown and reduction-fired to cone 10. Iron accents are added by mixing iron oxide with wax resist and painting on bisqueware before glaze is applied. The piece is then dipped in glaze, which will resist the areas that have been covered with the iron-wax mixture. Water-tight and food/dishwasher safe. Because there is iron used for decoration, these mugs are not microwave safe.
